The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Luxembourg chapter is organising an event on Wednesday 29 January 2025 from 18:00 - 20:00 at the Espace Namur in Luxembourg-Cents.
Technologists and Cyber security professionals are not traditionally associated with being good communicators: for the first meeting in 2025, the ISACA Luxembourg Chapter would like to change this perception. Members will get actionable tips and techniques on how to talk to anybody. Moderator and host: Derek Borthwick is an award-winning international best-selling author, certified coach and communications specialist, with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and distribution.
Using Derek's books as a basis, the focus of this interactive session will be 1) The art of negotiation, 2) Body language: how to read anybody, 3) How to eliminate negative thinking, 4) Public speaking: how to speak effectively without fear, and 5) How to talk to anybody.
The format will be tailored to a cyber security and technology audience with themed tables, each featuring a book and exercises to hone communication, influence, and presentation skills.
