Details:

Luxembourg’s National Day falls on 23 June and marks the official birthday of the reigning monarch (currently Grand Duke Henri).

The festivities kick off on National Day Eve (22 June), with the Changing of the Guard at the Grand Ducal Palace, a torchlit parade and fireworks in Luxembourg City, as well as parties around the country. 23 June is a public holiday and is reserved for more formal events such as the official ceremony (usually at the Philharmonie) and the traditional military parade in Luxembourg City, as well as the solemn Te Deum at Notre-Dame Cathedral, all in the presence of the Grand Ducal family and national authorities. These are accompanied by various other activities across the Grand Duchy.
