Fred Barreto Group, a Luxembourg-based blues-rock quartet, are set to release their first album, "Moving On", on 1 October 2021; the release party will take place the following day at Aalt Stadhaus in Differdange.
Recorded and produced by Mike Butcher, who has previously recorded and / or produced names like Black Sabbath, Marvin Gaye and Rod Steward, "Moving On" highlights the rock side of the quartet, which generally combines the timeless energy of rock music and the soulful vibes of blues with a new-fashioned, distinctive character and vibrant drive.
Brazilian guitarist Fred Barreto is one of those musicians who are recognisable from the first notes played. When teaming up with Nadja Prange (organ), Daniel Fastro (bass) and Michael Stein (drums), they form Fred Barreto Group, or simply "FBG". Last year, due to the pandemic, they unable to play many concerts; instead they took their music to the studio and "Moving On" is the fruit of their common work and years of playing together.
FBG's next album will be released on Friday 1 October 2021 with a release party at the Aalt Stadhaus in Differdange on Saturday 2 October 2021 at 20:00.
