Details: The BeNeLux Branch of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) is organising an Evening Seminar on the subject of Image Rights Licensing, to be held on Tuesday 16 April 2013 from 12:00 - 14:00 at the Cercle Munster (5-7 rue Munster, L-2160 Luxembourg-Grund).
How Guernsey’s new image rights legislation can assist your clients to protect their interests and structure their affairs effectively with an insight into how to use the image rights legislation with a Luxembourg structure taking advantage of the IP tax opportunity.
The presentation will be by three Guest Speakers:
MARTIN PRIEST TEP (St Peters Trust, Guernsey) was born in Guernsey and, after leaving full-time education, trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with one of the big four accounting firms. He joined St Peters Trust in 1982, which was then controlled by a large Swiss fiduciary group and a Swiss bank. He became a Director of the company in 1991 and Managing Director in 1995. Martin successfully negotiated a management buyout of the company in 1999 and since that time the company has been wholly owned and controlled by its directors.
SAM SHIRES – Group Partner, AO Hall, Advocates Guernsey, Solicitor in England and Wales and Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
KARL HORSBURGH TEP FCA, Réviseur d’Entreprises Agréé and currently managing director of International Audit Services, Luxembourg, was born in Minden/Germany on 29 November 1957. He was educated and raised in the United Kingdom. He studied at Leeds University, Yorkshire UK and received an Honours Degree in Economics and Accounting and qualified as a United Kingdom Chartered Accountant in 1982. He has been involved in corporate structuring and tax advice in Luxembourg for 30 years.

Everyone involved in wealth planning and preservation, including, but not limited to, all estate and trust professionals, lawyers, accountants, trust officers, current STEP members, applicants and other providers of ancillary services, including Intellectual Property, image rights and copyrights.

The event will be from 18:00, the presentations will begin at 18:30 and will be followed by drinks and canapés with an opportunity to continue discussions with the speakers and network with friends and colleagues.
