The Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg has announced that Princess Akiko of Mikasa will deliver a presentation titled “The Art of Copying – Creating Reproductions for the West” on Tuesday 17 March 2026 at the Musée Dräi Eechelen (3 Acorns Museum) in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The lecture will take place from 13:00 to 14:00 in collaboration with the National Museum of Archaeology, History and Art (MNAHA). Attendees are asked to arrive by 12:45 and to take traffic and site accessibility into account.
According to the Embassy, Princess Akiko of Mikasa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Japanese Art from the University of Oxford and is the first female member of the Japanese Imperial family to obtain a PhD. She also founded “Shinyusha”, an initiative aimed at passing on traditional Japanese culture to younger generations through workshops and cultural events.
