The Theater Federatioun (Luxembourg Theatre Federation) has announced its annual Theaterfest to launch the new theatre season on Friday 19 September 2025 from 11:00 to 18:00 at the Place d’Armes in Luxembourg-Ville.

Nineteen of the federation’s twenty-three members will be present, including theatres, cultural centres, companies and collectives with stands to present their 2025/26 season, work, specialities and their teams. The aim of the Theaterfest is to create encounters in the capital’s central square for passers-by and theatre and dance lovers to meet professionals from the performing arts sector.

A cultural programme will include songs from the 1920s, jazz and humorous cabaret by Laura Dilettante, excerpts from the play “Requiem for a Clown” by Antoine Colla featuring Rhiannon Morgan, the physical poetry of clown DelToe Joe, pop singer Naomi Ayé, DJ Cat Claw and Edsun.

For the first time this year, an official launch of the event will take place from 10:30 to 11:00 at the Kiosk stage in Place d’Armes square. On this occasion, the President of the Theater Federatioun, Sascha Dahm, and the Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, will address the audience.

The Theaterfest is organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the City of Luxembourg and Cercle Cité.
