The Theater Federatioun has announced that it is organising its annual "Theaterfest" on Friday 20 September 2024, from 11:00 to 18:00.

During this launch of the 2024/25 season, the various theatres, cultural centres, acting companies, collectives and member associations of the Luxembourg federation of performing arts (Theater Federatioun) will be present in Place d'Armes in Luxembourg-Ville, ready to meet dance and theatre lovers and other passers-by.

Throughout the event, the various structures will present their upcoming season, their work and teams.

A cultural programme will punctuate the day. This includes the fiery juggling of the Zaltimbanq' Zirkus troupe, the contemporary dance with classical influences and urban trends of the Young Movers, the 1960's rock'n'roll of Les Garçons Plage, the humorous yet poetic street show of Les Ouvreurs de portes. The wild rhythms of Mambo Schinki and his organ will close the programme.

Throughout the event, students from the Master Theaterwissenschaft und Interkulturalität (a cross-border Master's degree in theatre from an intercultural perspective) of the University of Luxembourg and the University of Trier, will read dramatic texts from their course.
