Dig Deep Improv has announced a series upcoming events around the theme of drama improvisation, the first a Taster Workshop, a Voice workshop and the third is for a six-week Improv Course.
Since 2021, Dig Deep Iprov has been organising English-language Improv workshops, courses and teambuilding event in Luxembourg, enabling those participating to improve their skills in confidence, public speaking, communication and adapting to change.
Event 1: Improv Taster Workshop, on Saturday 14 September 2024 from 10:00-12:00 @ CID Fraen an Gender (2nd Floor, 14 Rue Beck, L-1222 Luxembourg-ville)
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners and those with experience who want to play. The workshop will focus on various aspects of improv including games, short-form and long-form that allow you to try out improv in a safe and supportive team environment. Event 2: Embrace your speaking voice workshop. Sunday 15 September from 10:00 - 12:00 @ CID Fraen an Gender (2nd Floor, 14 Rue Beck, L-1222 Luxembourg-ville)
Join voiceover actor, radio presenter and improviser Melissa Dalton for this workshop focusing on using one's voice to its full potential and learning to love and trust one's own voice. Through theatre and improv techniques, attendees will work on practices such as diction, projection, correct breathing and resonance. There will also be a strong focus on play and exploration of one's voice which add a fun and exciting element to our learning. This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their voice and explore the potential of their voice. Event 3: Fundamentals of Improv 6 week course. Mondays 19:00-21:00 from 16 September @ Oscars Bar, Luxembourg-Grund
Each weekly session covers a different fundamental skill needed by every improviser. The course is open to everyone. If one is new to improv, then this course is an ideal place to start. Experienced improvisers can sharpen their skills and revisit the essentials. If one has been to a Dig Deep Taster workshop they will find these sessions more detailed, educational and exploratory. Improv is a very social activity and this course also offers the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a drink and some tasty Oscars food after class each week. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
