The communications agency "brain&more" has announced that the second edition of [Your] Luxembourg Expat Day will be held on Sunday 1 September at Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund from 10:00 to 18:00.

After the first edition’s success (it attracted nearly 7,000 visitors) the [Your] Luxembourg Expat Day is back. This year, the event will offer a day full of discoveries, focusing on the culture and charm of Luxembourg. The programme includes, among other things, tastings of Luxembourg’s culinary specialties, shows and various information stands.

On the three exhibition areas of neimënster (Agora, Parvis and Cloister) as well as on the parking lot in front of the building, 42 exhibitors from different sectors offer a wide range of information and entertainment stands on 4,000 m2. Banking and telecommunications services, energy suppliers, tourism and mobility players, language centres, sports and leisure facilities, wellness and more will give newcomers and long-term residents alike an insight into the best that Luxembourg has to offer.

The aim of [Your] Luxembourg Expat Day is to familiarise expats, as well as all visitors, their families and friends, with the gastronomic, cultural and touristic offerings of Luxembourg as well as with the services and products of local producers. During this event, guests will be able to discover the tourist regions and their attractions, taste products made in Luxembourg, or discover a rescue helicopter. Furthermore, there will be different sports to try out, and sightseeing tours of the capital in which to take part.

In addition to competitions and entertainment such as freestyle football shows, performances by the “world's strongest man, Georges Christen”, live shows by Luxembourg's Eurovision star TALI and local DJs, a varied entertainment programme is available for all ages.

The Food Village, with its many food trucks, and the Brasserie Abtei offer international and, above all, local delicacies. The Luxembourg City Lounge offers the opportunity to exchange with other expats and residents and to make new contacts.

On the same day, the Grund will also host the "Konscht am Gronn" event. This is an art exhibition where Luxembourg artists can present their works.

[Your] Luxembourg Expat Day, organised by the Mediahuis Luxembourg teams on behalf of the English-language news website Luxembourg Times in collaboration with the communication and events agency brain&more, aims to highlight the cultural richness, the quality of services and the multicultural spirit of Luxembourg. Admission is free.
