Students will be able to learn how to select the right supplies, how to make gradients of colour and blend colours. Furthermore, they will learn how to separate colours and paint in layers, and they will discover various painting techniques.

The tutor for this course is Agnieszka Strzebinczyk, a German teacher with five years of experience teaching about watercolour techniques. The course costs €280 (students will need to bring 15€ on the first night for material costs) and the registration deadline is Monday 16 September 2024.

The second new course announced is a Henna Art Course, where participants will be able to learn how to decorate their bodies with Henna colours. This course will be offered from Wednesday 25 September 2024, taking place every Wednesday for six weeks, at St Georges International School in Luxembourg-Hamm from 19:00-21:00. This course costs €280.

Henna has been the symbol of celebration and joy in Asian, Arabic and African cultures and to date, it holds significance in festivals and celebrations. The first few classes will focus on the basic forms and patterns of henna, teaching participants how to do them with acrylic cones. By the end, participants will be able to do henna on their hands with natural henna cones and enjoy the “tattoos” for days while keeping expertise with them “for life”.

The tutor, Aisha Umer, is a Pakistani textile designer who loves to paint and make henna tattoos. She has been making henna designs from a very young age because of her love for henna. Now she makes henna designs for brides and for anyone who loves henna tattoos; she also creates henna cones by herself with all-natural ingredients.
