The Seat Luxembourg Davis Cup team is in the lead after the first game day in the Davis Cup World Group II match being played in Palmerston North against New Zealand with 2:0 after the first day's play.
Alex Knaff won the first singles match against Kiranpal Pannu in three sets: 6:1, 6:7, 7:5. In the second singles match, Chris Rodesch prevailed 6:2, 6:4 against Ajeet Rai.
On Sunday, the doubles between Finn Reynolds/Rubin Statham and Chris Rodesch/Alex Knaff, as well as the singles Kiranpal Pannu - Chris Rodesch and Ajeet Rai - Alex Knaff will take place. In order to win the match and qualify for the play-offs of World Group I in 2025, the Seat Luxembourg Davis Cup team has to win just one of these matches.
