The Rockhal in Esch-Belval has announced upcoming shows by English bands The Stranglers and UB40.

The Stanglers

English rock band The Stranglers will perform at Rockhal Club on Sunday 27 October 2024. Doors open at 20:00; show starts at 20:30.

First formed in 1974, The Stranglers built a following in the pub rock and then punk rock scene in the UK. Their approach transcended the genre, however, and they created their own unique sound. They released their first three albums (Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White) within thirteen months of each other, scoring hit singles with "Peaches", "No More Heroes" and "Walk On By". Further success followed with "Always The Sun", "Strange Little Girl" and "Golden Brown", among others, earning the group 24 Top 40 singles and nineteen Top 40 albums in a career spanning six decades.

In 2019, they released their nineteenth studio album, Dark Matters. Reaching No. 4 in the UK album charts, this innovative album pushed the boundaries of their sound, incorporating elements of electronic and alternative rock showcasing the band’s continued creativity and exploration of new musical territories. The Stranglers are now approaching their 50th anniversary (2024).

Tickets for their Rockhal show cost €53.90 (including pre-sale fee) and are available online at: https://rockhal.lu/shows/the-stranglers-rockhal/.
