The Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) has announced the winner(s) of the first ACL F4 Esports Cup Luxembourg by Alpine.
After races held on seven circuits across the globe throughout the season, Thibaud Prevot has won this first edition.
Following a race punctuated by overtaking and an unexpected scenario, Thibaud Prevot was awarded his first crown on the American (virtual) circuit of Laguna Seca. Despite Finn Feltgen's victory in this last round, Thibaud Prevot crossed the checkered flag in second position, ahead of Sam Frisch. This result was enough to allow him to become the first champion of the ACL F4 Esports Cup Luxembourg by Alpine.
Thibaud Prevot accumulated the most points across the seven races, with a total of 151. Luca Becker placed 2nd with 140 points, followed by Alexandre Nicolas in 3rd place with 129 points.
One of the rewards for the winner of the cup is to represent Luxembourg at the FIA Motorsport Games, which will be held in Valencia from 23 to 27 October 2024. The organisers explained that Thibaud Prevot had failed to meet all the required selection criteria and so Luca Becker will take his place. The latter has been selected to participate in the "Esports F4" discipline and completes the Luxembourg delegation.
