The Luxembourg Tennis Federation (FLT) and the Pickleball Commission have announced the first edition of the National Pickleball Championship, which will bring together Luxembourg’s top players, set to take place on Sunday 25 February from 8:30 to 18:00.
Launched eighteen months ago in Luxembourg, pickleball is now played by around 150 people in half a dozen venues across the country.
On Sunday, 42 players will battle it out to decide Luxembourg's very first champions. The day will take place at the Warkdall sports centre in Feulen near Ettelbruck. Matches will be played on four courts in “Men's Doubles”, “Women's Doubles” and “Mixed Doubles” categories.
There will be an “Advanced Players” category and an “Intermediate Players” category.
