This organisational change aims to adapt the coordination of care pathways to the evolving needs of patients and their symptoms.
According to the ministry, patients with persistent symptoms after a SARS-CoV-2 infection can be referred to the long COVID consultation by their primary care physician or general practitioner.
From 1 November 2025, all requests for care must be:
- written and signed by the attending physician or general practitioner; and
- sent by email to the CHNP’s long COVID consultation unit.
The care pathway remains unchanged and continues to rely on the national network of partners to ensure coordinated and holistic care for affected patients.
For further information, patients can contact the long COVID consultation unit by email at long-covid@chnp.lu or by phone at 2682-2904.
