On Friday 21 November 2025, Luxembourg trade union ALEBA released a statement in which it said it is “dismayed” by the recent announcement from management at Amazon Luxembourg that it will cut up to 470 jobs and reaffirmed its unconditional support for the employees.
ALEBA noted that according to sources, the reported redundancies will directly impact more than 10% of the Amazon workforce in the Grand Duchy.
The trade union said: “We invite our members and, of course, all Amazon employees to contact our coordinators, who will be able to advise and assist them in order to best represent their interests.”
ALEBA said it is “concerned about the trend of companies that are still making profits laying off employees who have been the strength of Luxembourg” and reiterated that “it will always stand by the employees”.
