On Monday 16 September 2024, EY Luxembourg announced that it was welcoming 320 new professionals from 29 different national backgrounds into its ranks by October 2024.

The company hosted an orientation day on Monday at the European Convention Center Luxembourg (Kirchberg), for both freshly graduated individuals and seasoned experts. The day was packed with activities including informative presentations, interactive workshops and panel discussions led by the company's top executives.

According to EY Luxembourg, the event served not only as an "educational opportunity" but also as a "social platform", allowing the new recruits to network with colleagues who had entered the firm the previous year. Additionally, this gathering signified the start of the training and induction programme for new employees in the departments of Assurance, Consulting, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Core Business Services, which will unfold in the coming weeks.

"As we welcome our new colleagues, we're also embracing an exciting chapter with the arrival of our new global CEO. This is a time of revived focus on what makes EY unique: our ability to connect expertise across the globe. Our new global leadership is dedicated to building on this, ensuring that we continue to offer a collaborative and supportive environment for all," commented Olivier Coekelbergs, Country Managing Partner of the firm. "For those joining us, it's an opportunity to be part of a firm that values global teamwork and the diverse perspectives it brings. I look forward to working with our new joiners and seeing how their contributions will help us all grow and learn together."

Adriana Boixados, EY Luxembourg's People Leader, added: "September is a significant time at EY, as we welcome our largest number of new joiners, a group unmatched in size but followed closely by those starting in January. It's an opportunity for our new colleagues to join together, forming a strong and cohesive unit from the outset. At EY, we value the sense of community and teamwork that comes from starting together. We are dedicated to helping every individual feel part of our global family, fostering a culture of diversity and collaboration. Our aim is to support our new joiners in finding their path and growing their careers through continuous learning, meaningful projects, and a network of support. As we welcome our newcomers this September, we look forward to their contributions and to supporting them in their professional journey."
