Margot Heirendt Appointed Director of Luxembourg Cancer Foundation

On Tuesday 2 April 2024, the Board of Directors of the Fondation Cancer announced the appointment of Margot Heirendt to the position of Director.

Since 2020, Margot Heirendt has served as Deputy Director at the National Office for Children (Office national de l'enfance - ONE), where she assisted management in strategic planning and operational management. Ms Heirendt joined ONE in 2011, first as an advisor before being appointed deputy general coordinator in 2018. She led the communications, human resources and administration departments.

Margot Heirendt holds a Master's degree in Management and Coaching in Social Work from the University of Luxembourg, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Applied Communication from IHECS Brussels.

Following the retirement of Lucienne Thommes after eight years at the head of the Fondation Cancer, Margot Heirendt took up her position on Tuesday this week.
