On Friday 30 December 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy confirmed that minimum salaries would be indexed from 1 January 2023.

Following Article L. 223-1 of the Labour Code, the minimum monthly social wage is being adapted according to the weighted cost of living index (877.01) from Sunday 1 January.

The minimum social wages are therefore set at the following:

- 18+ years: €13.80 hourly, €2,387.40 monthly

- 17-18 years: €11.04 hourly, €1,909.92 monthly

- 15-17 years: €10.35 hourly; €1,790.55 monthly

The minimum social wage for qualified employees (within the meaning of the provisions of Article L. 222-4 of the Labour Code) is set at €2,864.88 monthly from 1 January 2023.
