Luxembourg's Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region announced that two new administrative procedures for the signing of the Welcome and Integration Contract (Contrat d'accueil et d'intégration - CAI), a voluntary integration programme for non-Luxembourg residents, are available on MyGuichet.lu from now on.
The two administrative procedures are:
- Making an appointment for personal orientation and signing the CAI;
- Requesting to conclude a CAI without individual orientation.
The electronic procedures, developed in collaboration with the Government IT Centre (CTIE), are available without authentication, i.e. it is not necessary to have a LuxTrust certificate or an electronic identity card (eID) to carry them out.
The procedures are currently available in French, with German and English versions to follow shortly.
The Welcome and Integration contract is a voluntary integration programme for non-Luxembourg residents aged 16 and over. It is offered by the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region and aims at facilitating the integration of signatories and their active participation in life in Luxembourg.
The CAI offers up to three vouchers at a reduced rate for language courses in the administrative languages of Luxembourg (Luxembourgish, German and/or French), a citizenship training course to discover the Grand Duchy, its history, traditions and customs, the political system and intercultural living together and an orientation day to familiarise particpants with administrative procedures and the possibilities of actively participating in daily life in Luxembourg.
