Inspiring Luxembourg today joined Luxembourg.lu, the official portal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg; at the same time, Luxembourg.lu has adopted the country's "common signature".

The Luxembourg.lu website has undergone a complete makeover, involving the adoption of the visual identity of the "LuXembourg - Let's make it happen" brand and now integrating elements of Luxembourg's common signature.

To optimise the country's promotional efforts, the website Inspiringluxembourg.lu, together with its toolbox dedicated to those wishing to promote Luxembourg, now forms part of the Luxembourg.lu website. Through this merger, internet users will be able to consult all promotional tools and information at one address.

Nevertheless, Luxembourg.lu has kept a structure which allows the presentation of all the different facets of life in Luxembourg, while offering easy navigation. The website is divided into five sections and will regularly feature themes covering a variety of topics. These themes will be developed in consultation with external partners, which allows Luxembourg.lu to cover major national or international events, as well as current topics or sectors in which the country excels.

The website has also adopted a playful approach to discover Luxembourg through short quizzes or surveys, Quick Facts and Luxembourgish expressions or words. The components of the site have been evaluated to ensure that people with specific needs can access the content, as well.

Luxembourg.lu is the official portal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Its missions are to promote Luxembourg abroad through its website, provide information on certain aspects of the country and guide internet users to relevant partners. It is edited by the Information and Press Service of the Government (Service information et presse du gouvernement; SIP). The toolbox is managed by the team in charge of branding and promotion within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

The new site was created in close collaboration with the Government IT Centre (CTIE), which also hosts it. Currently, some 2,000,000 unique visitors visit the site each year. About a third of visitors connect from Luxembourg, followed by France, Germany, the United States and Belgium. Luxembourg.lu has been online since 2009 and the site is available in English, French and German.
