On Wednesday 10 July 2024, Uber Eats announced its launch in Luxembourg, helping make the home delivery of meals from various local restaurants easily accessible to users of the app.

Nearly 200 local restaurants and merchants will be available on the app at launch, with more expected to join the platform in the coming weeks. Luxembourg City joins over 10,000 cities worldwide where Uber Eats offers "convenient and reliable" food delivery services. At launch, the service will be accessible to 60% of the population of Luxembourg, operational in the cantons of Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette, with plans to expand to other cantons.

"We are excited to bring Uber Eats to Luxembourg City, enabling eaters to enjoy meals from their favourite local restaurants delivered directly to their doorstep in under 30 minutes," said Rick Janse Kok, Head of Communications at Uber Eats. "Our goal is to support the local restaurant industry by providing them with a platform to reach more customers and grow their business."

Uber Eats in Luxembourg will feature a selection of restaurant partners including Manso Group and Burger Brothers, with the aim of offering a "diverse array of culinary options for every taste".

"We are one of the big national brands in Luxembourg, with eleven restaurants spread [across] the country, and Uber Eats is a big global brand. We want to work with the best to become even better. We know that Uber Eats is coming to allow the market to evolve and we want to contribute to that evolution. We serve over 800,000 customers a year in our restaurants. With Uber Eats, we intend to significantly increase this number," commented Remy Manso, founder and CEO of Manso Group.

"A local brand since 2017, Burger Brothers began its adventure in Thionville [France], where we work with our partner Uber Eats from the very first day we set up business. We're delighted to be working with them again in Luxembourg, where we've been operating two restaurants for the past three years [...] We're really looking forward to continuing this collaboration with a name as well-known and successful as Uber Eats," said Anis Badjoudj, founder and CEO of Burger Brothers in Luxembourg.

To celebrate the launch, Uber Eats is offering all new users in Luxembourg a €15 discount on their first two orders with a minimum value of €20 until the end of September 2024, with the promo code "LUXWELCOME15". The Uber Eats app is available on Android and iOS.
