The Rotondes cultural venue in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie has launched a call for applications from emerging artists to take part in the sixth Triennale Jeune Création.
Titled "Common Ground", the exhibition will run in summer 2026 and will explore questions of visibility, cultural expression and multiculturalism.
Since its launch in 2007, the Triennale Jeune Création has become "a flagship event showcasing new generations of artists" from Luxembourg and the Greater Region, according to Rotondes. It serves as "a platform to present emerging talent and foster artistic exchange, while contributing to the vitality and international reach of the local art scene."
The sixth edition will take place at Rotondes from Friday 26 June to Sunday 30 August 2026.
Curation of this edition has been entrusted to La Concierge. Founded in 2023 by Liliana Francisco and Steven Cruz, La Concierge supports emerging artists "by guiding their practice and promoting their work within a professional and nurturing framework". The 2026 theme, "Common Ground", is said to reflect the collective's core values of openness and inclusivity. Rotondes added that the theme also takes inspiration from underground nightlife culture - "spaces where social conventions are set aside, mutual respect prevails and freedom of self-expression is celebrated".
Rotondes and La Concierge are inviting artists to embody these values in their Triennale Jeune Création proposals by creating works that "explore personal and collective identity, examine representation within underground and marginalised cultures and imagine new, intersectional approaches to community". The exhibition "seeks to open fresh perspectives on inclusivity and multiculturalism in an increasingly individualistic world".
The call is open to artists of all disciplines who are at an early stage of their careers, who have not yet participated in a large-scale exhibition, and who have a connection to Luxembourg or the Greater Region.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday 30 November 2025. Full guidelines and the online submission form are available at rotondes.lu/triennale.
