On Friday 25 October 2024, Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture launched a call for projects from cultural stakeholders, as part of its policy to promote access to culture for all.
The Cultural Mediation call aims to support cultural stakeholders in their mediation projects with a subsidy for planned projects and ideas in development, to enable interested parties bring the projects to fruition.
Its purpose is to support:
- The coming together of audiences and artistic creation or heritage.
- The use of culture to act on social issues and against cultural exclusion.
Eligible applicants
All cultural entities constituted as non-profit associations, individuals registered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as municipalities are eligible. Associations approved by the Ministry of Culture are also eligible. Associations registered in one of the three neighbouring countries are also eligible, provided that it is a cross-border project with a partner in Luxembourg and at least 50% of the activities take place in Luxembourg.
Eligible projects
Projects submitted must meet the defined sectors eligible for a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture, namely:
- Dance
- Theatre, street arts and circus
- Music
- Visual arts, architecture, design and crafts
- Literature and publishing
- Heritage, history, garden arts and science transmission
- Audiovisual, multimedia and digital arts
Note: a project can be multidisciplinary.
