On Thursday 16 December 2021, the Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation organised the third edition of its "Apero with Kazakhs" event at "Ennert de Steiler" bar in Luxembourg-Ville.
On this occasion, the Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation celebrated the Independence Day of Kazakhstan, for the first time in Luxembourg, together with friends of different nationalities living in the Grand Duchy.
Sounds of the dombra (a long-necked Kazakh and Bashkir lute) brought attendees the wind of the Kazakh steppes and the scent of sagebrush. Kazakh bauyrsak (traditional bread) and sweets offered friends of the association a glimpse of Kazakh hospitality.
There were a lot of questions about Kazakhstan, laughter, cake and dancing. At this event, the Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation introduced a new name: Kazakh DJ Banu for her debut in Luxembourg.
Following the event, the Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Cooperation expressed its appreciation to the Integration Department of Luxembourg's Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region for its support. The organisers added: "It is a big assurance for us to carry our projects independently and know that what we put our hearts and our efforts in on a volunteer basis adds to the integration and multiculturality of Luxembourg".
