On Sunday 5 December 2021, the Irish Club of Luxembourg held their annual Children's Christmas Party, at Eirelux in Howald.

Due to the recent changes to the COVID-19 restrictions to indoor events, the club had to revise at late notice the original concept of a party (with magician, musician, etc.) in favour of a concept based on a Santa's Grotto - which the club had organised in December 2020 when even more stringent restrictions were in place. Nevertheless, Santa Claus was the centre of attention and the star of the show as children of both club members and friends of the club arrived during predefined time slots (cleverly named after Santa's reindeer) so as not to have many people congregating in the same place at the same time.

Some families stayed on for lunch at Eirelux (table service only, as the buffet was cancelled due to the same restrictions).

The club acknowledged the involvement of Cactus supermarkets who continue to support the club's festival event for young families.
