The Irish Club of Luxembourg has announced that it is organising a tour of the Bofferding Brewery in Bascharage on Saturday 10 October 2020 at 11:00 (meet by 10:45 outside the brewery entrance).

The tour (in English) lasts one hour and introduces you to the different stages of the beer-making process in the brewery which was created in 1764. You will be able to smell and touch the raw materials, taste the pure water from the well, discover young beer and travel through more than two centuries of history. The tour will culminate in a one-hour tasting of 100% natural beers which will treat your taste buds to the flavours of hops and malt.

Face masks must be worn throughout the tour and groups are limited to 9 people (plus a guide). We intend to have two guides, so our limit of participants would be 18 people.

The cost of the tour is €15/person (free to ICL paid-up members / free membership offered to non-members who pay) and is also open to Luxembourg alumni of Trinity College Dublin. Payment is at the brewery on the day of the tour.

We will also be eating afterwards at the An der Brauerei Brasserie Restaurant (optional): here individuals are responsible for paying for their own meals and drinks.

To reserve your place on the tour, contact Fiona (email: fiona.mulhern@gmail.com) before 30 September, also indicating if you would like to be included in the meal reservation.
