On Monday 16 March 2026, Stëmm vun der Strooss, a Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable members of society, reported that it had received a donation of 81 mattresses from the NH Luxembourg Airport Hotel.

Stëmm vun der Strooss reported that following the donation, its director, Alexandra Oxacelay, arranged for the organisation’s network to coordinate and redistribute the mattresses to organisations committed to supporting vulnerable people.

Thanks to this coordination, the mattresses were distributed as follows:

  • Kiwanis Children’s Fund: 51 mattresses to support the Ukrainian refugee population, particularly children affected by the war in Ukraine;
  • CNDS Wunnen – Housing First project: ten mattresses to support access to housing for people in situations of severe hardship;
  • Stëmm vun der Strooss: 20 mattresses for its various social structures and support programmes.

The distribution was organised on Wednesday 4 March at the NH Luxembourg Airport Hotel in Senningerberg, in the presence of the different partners.

Stëmm vun der Strooss said this initiative illustrated the importance of collaboration between companies and actors in the social sector, allowing quality equipment to be given a second life while providing concrete support to people in need.

The organisation thanked NH Hotel Luxembourg Airport for their generosity and solidarity, as well as all the partners who contributed to the successful distribution of the donation.
