On Thursday 13 November 2025, the Women’s Bouldering Festival (WBF) announced a €1,300 donation to Passerell, raised in support of the organisation’s work with women and girls in Luxembourg.

According to WBF, the donation was made possible through participant support and a contribution from the Petzl Foundation during the festival’s third edition, which aimed to raise awareness of issues affecting women and girls in Luxembourg.

The main outdoor event, scheduled for 13 September 2025 in Parc Brill, Mamer, had to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions. WBF nevertheless hosted a smaller gathering at BKL in Luxembourg City, featuring a workshop by Passerell on “Female Genital Mutilation - Debunking the Myths”, homemade focaccia and free bouldering. The route-setting workshop was postponed, with informational materials shared with all ticket holders.

Tabitha Mann from the WBF organisation stated: “Our dream was to host an inclusive event in Luxembourg celebrating and empowering women in bouldering. The WBF achieved this, welcoming all genders, ages and skill levels. Our first two editions were successful and we look forward to future collaborations with Passerell.”

Passerell CEO Marion Dubois expressed her appreciation, noting: “We are pleased and extremely grateful at Passerell to have been selected for the 2025 and 2026 WBF editions. This inspiring and empowering initiative completely fits our values and we cannot wait for our beneficiaries to also play an active role during the festival. At Passerell, we firmly believe that empowerment and autonomy begin with a strong understanding of your rights.”

According to WBF, the festival will continue supporting Passerell throughout 2025 and 2026, with a focus on empowering refugee women and girls.
