Luxembourg non-profit organisation Stand Speak Rise Up! (SSRU) has announced a week of mobilisation from Friday 21 to Wednesday 26 November 2025 under the theme “Together Against Violence Towards Women” (“Ensemble contre les violences faites aux femmes”), marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November.
The initiative will include conferences, film screenings, legal training sessions and exhibitions aimed at raising awareness, informing the public and inspiring collective action in support of survivors and children born of rape in conflict zones.

Friday 21 November (Paris)
Round tables, workshops, testimonies and artistic interventions in partnership with Groupe SOS, on the theme “From Violence to Resilience: Supporting Women in Exile” - an afternoon of discussion with experts, activists and survivors.
Saturday 22 November (Paris & Luxembourg)
Marches in both cities to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, calling for solidarity and denouncing all forms of gender-based violence.
Monday 24 November, 19:00 (Kinepolis Kirchberg, Luxembourg)
Screening of “Muganga - Celui qui soigne” by Marie-Hélène Roux, portraying the work of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr Denis Mukwege for survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The screening will be followed by a discussion attended by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and activist Chékéba Hachemi, in partnership with AEIN. Event upon registration.
Tuesday 25 November (Luxembourg; online)
Launch of the first issue of the multidisciplinary journal Stand Speak Rise Up!, dedicated to sexual violence in times of conflict and its consequences, produced in partnership with Legitech.
Also on 25 November, a training session for magistrates and legal professionals will address “Sexual Violence, Human Trafficking and Asylum Law: Challenges for Justice”.
Wednesday 26 November (Luxembourg)
Official opening of a new exhibition created by and for survivors, highlighting their stories, courage and resilience. The exhibition is launched in partnership with BGL BNP Paribas, which will host it for several weeks.
