On Wednesday 22 October 2025, Luxembourg non-profit organisation SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde announced that it had received a donation of €1,000 from Carlyle Luxembourg, whose employees took part in the annual 20 km for SOS charity walk.
According to SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, the money was raised through the fifth edition of the 20 km SOS charity challenge held this summer, during which eight members of Carlyle Luxembourg’s Women ERG group – which promotes women’s professional development and visibility within the company – joined a collective walk supporting vulnerable children worldwide.
The initiative was led by Estelle Beyl Vodouhe, Co-Head of Platform Investing and Head of Real Assets at Carlyle Luxembourg.
The group met every Friday over four consecutive weeks, from 27 June to 18 July 2025, during their lunch break to collectively cover kilometres and raise donations through a fundraising page created GivenGain.
On Friday 3 October, the women's team welcomed Anne Schweizer and Lisa Forrler from SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde to their offices in Bonnevoie, where they presented a symbolic cheque for €1,000.
During the meeting, the Carlyle Luxembourg Women ERG members expressed their joy at having completed the challenge and walking together “to show all these vulnerable children that they are not forgotten.”
Representatives of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde thanked the employees for their continued commitment, following their participation in last year’s Giving Tuesday 2024 initiative.
