In the context of the upcoming Ukraine's Independence Day celebration on Saturday 24 August 2024 LUkraine has announced the launch of a fundraiser in the framework of its #UkraineIsCalling campaign.

LUkraine noted it is launching this fundraiser as part of its objective to “continue saving lives in Ukraine”.

August 24th date marking 33 years of independence for Ukrainians. It is a symbol of freedom and “all the hardships that [the] nation has faced and continues to face to fight for the ability to remain who we are,” LUkraine’s representatives added.

As part of the campaign "Ukraine Is Calling", the association added it is collecting funds to purchase another pickup car that will save lives near the frontlines. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this has become an elaborate campaign across nations, having sent 77 ambulances, fire trucks and pickups to this day.

This specific pickup truck will be donated to 48th Assault Battalion in the Donetsk region. LUkraine added that they are in “desperate need of rescue vehicles” that will operate in the war zone.
