On Tuesday 5 December 2023, in the presence of Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, and Maurice Bauer, Alderman, the Chrëschtmaart Place d’Armes asbl presented a cheque for €1,500 to the association Een Häerz fir Kriibskrank Kanner (a heart for cancer-affected children).
The amount was collected thanks to the crèche installed on the Place d’Armes during the 2022 edition of Winterlights.
This year, visitors to the Christmas market can donate to the “Wonschstär Foundation” near the nativity scene set up at the kiosk on Place d’Armes. This non-profit organisation has as its mission to help people whose lives have been severely affected by illness, accidents or other misfortunes.
