Allen & Overy recently donated €4,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of Luxembourg society, for the purchase of new work jackets.

The collaboration between Stëmm vun der Strooss and Allen & Overy dates back to 2013. Since then, the law firm has been supporting the non-profit on a regular basis, whether through financial donations and collections of food and hygiene products or through volunteering at the organisation's traditional Christmas party for disadvantaged people.

This time, Magali Maillot, Véronique Braunert and Fabian Beullekens, representing Allen & Overy, donated €4,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss for the purchase of new work jackets for people who are benefiting from professional reintegration measures and who work in the various workshops of the non-profit. They will allow the workers to be protected against bad weather and to carry out their tasks in all weather conditions.

Moreover, after having already invited a small group of Stëmm vun der Strooss beneficiaries to a joint meal in December 2021, Magali Maillot extended the following invitation: "To receive 100 disadvantaged people and offer them an extraordinary meal on our beautiful terrace on the eighth floor, overlooking the entire plateau of the European institutions. I am convinced that this will be a unique moment of sharing for all of us".

For Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, the date is already firmly marked in her calendar: "We [will] come with the greatest pleasure, because such initiatives help to promote social reintegration".
