The Rotaract Club of Luxembourg has donated just under €2,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society.

Represented by President Frank Elsen and Vice-President Lana Stetchi, the club offered a cheque for €1,987.03 to Bob Ritz, Communications Officer at Stëmm vun der Strooss, last Tuesday.

During a presentation of the non-profit's various activities and the current building under construction in Sanem, the members of the Rotaract Club were able to see how their donation would be invested. The donated amount will be used to finance the material for Stëmm vun der Strooss' new project "Caddy 2". This project will enable the professional integration of 90 people.

The Rotaract Club donation came from the proceeds of a collection of donations organised as part of the "Fundraising for Kleeschen 2020" project. Rotaract is a worldwide community of young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 who undertake a variety of solidarity projects on a national and international level. The club focuses on developing young adults as leaders in society and in their workplace.

Bob Ritz expressed his sincere thanks to Frank Elsen, Lana Stetchi and the other members of Rotaract Luxembourg for their donation: "I really want to thank Rotaract. I am impressed that young working people give their valuable time to projects like this and volunteer for a good cause. The Stëmm vun der Strooss is honoured to be able to count on the support of new partners and thus create connections for the future".

The financing phase of the Caddy 2 project is still ongoing and Stëmm vun der Strooss is appealing to all donors who might be interested in this social, ecological and economic project. A list of the material required by the non-profit is available at http://don.stemm.lu:4200/.
