Development NGO Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) Luxembourg will host a screening of its film “Au Cambodge, de la misère à un métier” (“In Cambodia: from poverty to employment”) on Friday 2 March 2018.
On this occasion, the NGO- which is supported by the Luxembourg Ministry of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action- will welcome its co-founder Marie-France des Pallières to Luxembourg, as part of her European Tour 2018. Marie-France and her late husband Christian founded the association Pour un Sourire d’Enfant in 1995, with the mission of feeding, caring for, educating and providing work for the poorest children in Cambodia.
After the screening of the film, Marie-France des Pallières will present the story of young father Sary whose life was transformed by PES when he became a trainer at an audiovisual school. In this role, Sary helps other young people acquire real employment.
PSE employs some 600 Cambodian employees and 300 volunteers at the association who encourage donations and sponsorships. The mission’s social budget was €5.8 million in 2016/2017.
The evening will begin at 17:30 with a welcome reception, followed by the film screening at 18:15. This will take place at the oKsigen building of BGL BNP Paribas (2 Edward Steichen Street, Luxembourg-Kirchberg). The event will end with a cocktail.
Entry is free of charge.
