As the stay of the first designer tenants of the "Design Hub" draws to a close, the City of Luxembourg has launched a call for applications for the rental of a workspace at this location.
This call for applications is intended for professionals in the creative industries looking to rent, from August 2024, a workspace in an environment that is designed to be conducive to creation, co-working, sharing of experiences and the organisation of workshops, located in the heart of the Luxembourg-Gare district (42-44 Rue de Hollerich).
From now until 21 July 2024, creative entrepreneurs working in the field of visual arts (photography, decoration, film, web design, graphics, illustration, etc.) can submit their application via the form available on the website of the City of Luxembourg. Only complete applications with the form and project description will be taken into consideration. Among the selection criteria are the availability of candidates and the innovative nature and quality of the proposed concept.
Building "A" offers for rent a multifunctional space (exhibitions, workshops, etc.) on the ground floor, as well as a workshop or workspace of ±35 m2 and a "desk", i.e. an office space on the mezzanine, on the first floor. Building "B" offers two workshops (with natural light) of ±35 m2 each. The multifunctional space located in building "A" is available for rent to external designers wishing to exhibit their work or offer creative workshops. The interior courtyard with an area of ±200 m2 is ideal for organising designer markets or networking events, according to the City of Luxembourg.
The maximum rental period is eleven months. Monthly rents are €650 for the workshops and €250 for the "desk".
Inaugurated in October 2023, the Design Hub of the City of Luxembourg offers young talents and creative entrepreneurs a temporary and affordable workspace where they can carry out their activity, consolidate their professional experience and gain confidence in order to establish themselves sustainably in the design ecosystem in Luxembourg. By bringing together different creative professions under one roof, the new creative hub also represents a unique networking opportunity.
