On Thursday 16 October 2025, the Round of 16 concluded in both the women’s LALUX Ladies Cup and the men’s Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg basketball competitions, with the current title holders eliminated from the tournament.

LALUX Ladies Cup 

In the women’s LALUX Ladies Cup, only four games were played in the Round of 16 after three teams forfeited their matches. The East Side Pirates received a bye and advanced directly to the quarter-finals.

Among the forfeited fixtures, current title holders Gréngewald Hueschtert did not appear for their game against T71 Dudelange and lost 0-20 by default. A similar situation occurred in the match between Etzella Ettelbruck and Les Sangliers Wooltz, with Wooltz progressing to the next round, as did AB Contern.

Last season’s finalists, Sparta Bertrange, continued their campaign with an 89-54 away victory over second-division side Black Star Mersch on Tuesday 14 October 2025. Naomi Rebekah Davenport led Sparta with 25 points and eleven rebounds.

Amicale Steinsel recorded the highest score of the round, defeating AS Soleuvre 126-32.

Men’s Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg

Two teams from the second division advanced to the quarter-finals of the men’s Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg after defeating Enovos League opponents.

AS Zolwer produced a standout performance on home court, scoring 100 points against Musel Pikes to secure a 100-88 victory. Nearly one-third of the team’s points came from Felix Whitcomb Kloman, who led the charge with 33 points.

Black Frogs Schieren also booked their place in the next round with an 81-71 home win over Enovos League newcomers Racing Luxembourg. Team captain Alexandre Pereira Meireles top-scored with 20 points, while Khyree Terell Armstead registered a double-double with sixteen points and fifteen rebounds.

On Wednesday 15 October 2025, Basket Esch, the current title holders, faced last season’s finalists Etzella Ettelbruck in a rematch of the 2024/2025 Cup final. This time, Franck Meriguet’s team were eliminated after a 67-84 defeat. Two Ettelbruck players, Adrian Jermaine Delph and Billy McDaniel, each contributed 21 points to secure their team’s place in the quarter-finals.
