The Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (ACA) has announced details of the next edition of the ACA Insurance Innovation Award, an event dedicated to innovation in the insurance and reinsurance sector, which will be held on Tuesday 5 November 2024 from 16:30 at Luxexpo in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

According to the ACA, in a constantly evolving context, where upheavals are multiplying at a sustained pace, the insurance and reinsurance sector must adapt to various changes and continue to strengthen its competitiveness. Innovation is one of the keys to meeting these challenges and seizing emerging opportunities. It is with this idea in mind that the ACA launched the ACA Innovation Award, highlighting the crucial role of innovation within the insurance sector in Luxembourg. This event, which is becoming a reference in the innovation ecosystem in Luxembourg, aims to promote innovative technological solutions, essential to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow in our sector.

This year's edition will bring together six selected startups to present their solutions to a jury of industry experts.

For this edition, the ACA brought together the innovation managers of its members to identify 2 major themes:

- Automation and digitalization of processes, aimed at improving the operational efficiency of companies.
- Optimisation of customer relations, with the aim of strengthening customer engagement through adapted technological solutions.

During this event, these six startups will have the opportunity to refine their solutions to these challenges, supervised by expert mentors from the sector. Each team will consist of a representative from the startup and two members of the ACA, providing an ideal framework for sharing expertise. At the end of the day, the startups will present their solutions to a jury that will assess their potential.

The ACA Innovation Award offers startups a unique platform to gain visibility and overcome the usual obstacles to collaboration with established companies. They will be able to test the viability of their solution and develop valuable relationships with insurers and reinsurers for future collaborations.

The event will end with a networking cocktail.

In the evening, Stéphanie Obertin, Luxembourg's Minister of Digitalisation, will present the prize to the winner in the presence of around a hundred participants.
