Deal Productions, in co-production with Phanta Film and SHUK have announced that their feature film Poison – A Love Story won the "Peripheral Visions Award" at Galway Film Fleadh 2024 on Sunday 14 July 2024.
Penned by acclaimed author Lot Vekemans, directed by first-time director, Désirée Nosbusch, and featuring performances by Tim Roth and Trine Dyrholm, Poison – A Love Story had its world premiere at the Film Fest München on 5 July 2024.
Poison is a love story about a couple reunited years after tragedy drove them apart. Their brief but intense meeting will bring simmering pain and resentments to the surface but will also be a reminder of cherished intimacy and the love they once shared.
Produced by Alexandra Hoesdorff and Désirée Nosbusch from Deal Productions (Luxembourg), in co-production with Petra Goedings and Maaike Benschop from Phanta Film (Netherlands) and Vivien Muller-Rommel from SHUK-Studio Hamburg UK (United Kingdom). The film received support from the Film Fund Luxembourg, the Nederlands Filmfonds, the Netherlands Film Production Incentive and the BFI.
