The Grand Ducal Police have reported several arrests made on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 March 2026 in Luxembourg City and Howald, in connection with attempted shoplifting, the breach of an expulsion order and suspected drug dealing.

According to the initial report, on Thursday afternoon an attempted shoplifting incident was reported at a shop on Avenue de la Gare in Luxembourg-Gare district, where a man allegedly attempted to steal several bottles of perfume. The suspect was immediately stopped by security personnel before a police patrol arrived at the scene and secured the stolen goods. Acting on orders from the public prosecutor’s office, the man was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Friday morning.

Later that evening, police received a report about a man present at a residential address in Howald despite being subject to an expulsion order. According to the initial report, the suspect was located at the scene by a police patrol. On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, he was arrested and presented before an investigating judge on Friday morning.

During the night of Friday 13 March, a police patrol noticed four men on Rue du Fort Elisabeth in Luxembourg-Gare district who were suspected of drug dealing. According to the initial report, following a check and body search, various drugs and cash were seized. On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, three of the four individuals were arrested and later presented before an investigating judge on Friday afternoon.
