European Arrest Warrant Executed After Man Found on Motorway

The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man subject to a European Arrest Warrant was arrested on Thursday 12 March 2026, after being found on the A4 motorway.

According to the initial information, during the early hours of Thursday the police received a report of a person lying on the carriageway on the A4 motorway in the direction of Esch-sur-Alzette. The individual was taken to hospital for a check.

After a police patrol carried out an identity check on the man, it was revealed that a European arrest warrant had been issued against him.

On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the man was arrested and brought before an investigating judge late in the morning of Thursday 12 March.
