The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was taken into custody following a public nuisance incident at Bettembourg train station on Monday 9 March 2026.

According to initial information, police received a report of a man who had walked onto the railway tracks, urinated into a rubbish bin and insulted passers-by at the station.

A police patrol located the man at the scene. He was heavily intoxicated and unable to remain steady on his feet.

As the individual posed a danger to himself and others, he was taken into custody after a medical examination and placed in a holding cell to sober up.
