The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a suspected burglar was arrested early on Saturday 7 March 2026 following a break-in at a department store in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
According to the initial information, shortly before 02:00 a burglary at the store was reported. The suspect gained access through a rear entrance door and was captured by surveillance cameras in the reception area on level 0.
Police added that the individual then entered the multimedia department, where he placed items into a shopping bag. A security officer apprehended the suspect on site and handed him over to the police.
On the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
