On Wednesday 4 March 2026, Luxembourg's High Commission for National Protection (HCPN) announced that the Grand Duchy will maintain its terrorist threat level at "2".

In light of the current geopolitical context, the Coordination Group for Counter-Terrorism (GCT) met to assess the potential impact on the threat situation in Luxembourg.

Based on the information currently available, the threat level remains unchanged at "2".

The GCT will continue to assess the situation and will regularly inform Luxembourg's Prime Minister.

The GCT comprises the State Intelligence Service, the Grand Ducal Police, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Luxembourg District Court Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, as well as the HCPN.
