The Grand Ducal Police have reported the seizure of illegal items during an intervention carried out in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
During the night of Sunday 1 to Monday 2 March 2026, police were informed of the regular presence of a man in his vehicle near a reception facility in Kirchberg, who was reportedly in possession of a firearm.
According to the police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered a search of the individual’s vehicle, as well as a house search. During these operations, officers discovered a firearm not subject to the law on weapons and ammunition, illegal cannabis plants, dealer paraphernalia and counterfeit banknotes.
The intervention was carried out with the support of the Police Special Unit. The seizure of the illegal and dangerous items was subsequently ordered.
