On Friday 27 February 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued an update on a recent aggravated burglary that took place in Leudelange.
The police reported that the incident occurred at a residence in Leudelange on Monday 23 February 2026, at approximately 12:45. The cleaning woman present was robbed by two assailants armed with a handgun and a knife. The suspects stole a significant quantity of leather goods and jewellery, valued at several hundred thousand euros.
Initially, they managed to escape, but the investigation conducted by the organised crime unit of the Judicial Police Service led to the identification of five suspected perpetrators, four of whom were apprehended and remanded in custody by the Luxembourg investigating office. During five house searches and two vehicle searches, a large portion of the stolen goods, as well as a firearm and narcotics, were recovered.
Previously, the police had issued a warning regarding two burglars on the run in relation to this incident.
