The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fuel theft and related traffic accident took place in Rombach-Martelange in western Luxembourg on Wednesday 25 February 2026.
On Wednesday afternoon, police received a report of an incident on Rue des Tilleuls. According to initial information, a driver filled up his tank and drove off without paying. A petrol station employee attempted to confront the driver, who had in the meantime pulled into a nearby car park.
The driver then fled again, brushing against another petrol station employee who was standing at the car park exit and attempting to signal him to stop. She sustained minor injuries.
An immediate search for the suspect was unsuccessful. Further investigations are ongoing.
