POST Luxembourg has announced that it will issue new stamps on Tuesday 10 February 2026, including five stamps from a new definitive series, featuring the portrait of Grand Duke Guillaume.

The accession to the throne of a new head of state traditionally leads to the launch of a new definitive stamp series, since it is customary for the sovereign’s portrait to appear on such issues.

According to POST Luxembourg, the designers have created the stamps with a simple layout, uniform appearance and compact format. Each face value comes in a specific colour to help users read the stamps easily and to support mechanical processing.

In addition to the stamps bearing the image of Grand Duke Guillaume, the postal operator will also commemorate several anniversaries with this release: the 100th anniversary of Banque Raiffeisen in Luxembourg; the tenth anniversary of Luxembourg-based financial institution, Microlux; and the 150th anniversary of the independence of the municipality of Schifflange.

Dedicated exclusively to this new stamp issue, the February 2026 Philatélux publication lists the different stamps and provides information on their respective characteristics and designs.

The new stamps will be available from Tuesday 10 February 2026 in the POST Philately e-shop (www.postphilately.lu), at the Philatelic Counter in the POST Luxembourg-Gare building (38 Place de la Gare) and in all Espaces POST and post offices.
