55-Year-Old Bus Driver Dies After Bus Crashes Into Field

On Tuesday 3 February 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that the 55-year-old driver of a bus which crashed in a field between Scheidel and Kehmen had succumbed to his injuries.

According to the initial information, at approximately 17:40 on Monday 2 February the police were alerted to a bus that had driven into a field near the CR349 between Scheidel and Kehmen.

The driver required resuscitation at the scene. However, despite resuscitation efforts, he died at the scene.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed and requested a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
